Annette M. Berger
Vice President of Operations
Annette M. Berger has over 30 years of experience in the biosolids industry, including all facets of composting and anaerobic digestion field. Annette holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Dickinson State College and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Kennedy Western University. She is licensed as an Ohio Class IV Wastewater Operator.
Annette oversees all operations for the Akron Composting Facility and the Akron Renewable Energy Facility. This includes capital improvements, operations, maintenance, odor control, process control, shift operations, and the laboratory. She expertly managed the design and construction of both the Phase I and Phase II Anaerobic Digestion Systems, and she ensures compliance with both the operating agreement with the City of Akron, and all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines, including 40 CFR 503 Regulations.
